The Nordiques started out in Bramalea Ontario in 2003-04. They moved the team to Barrie during the lockout for the start of the 2005-06 season. That same year, they captured the RHL Cup. A logo change is usually in order when a team moves, and the Nordiques unveiled a new logo for the 2005-06 season. This remained their logo for another year (2006-07) before changing to the more simplified logo, with a slight color change, worn on the jerseys today.
